The aim of the current research is to compare a number of different methods for calculating Cut Score in an achievement test in the subjects of item differences and measurement and evaluation. An achievement test was constructed consisting of (52) questions that measure the knowledge and abilities that students have acquired in the content. The test was applied to general diploma students. - At Cairo University during the academic year 2022-2023 in the second semester, the number of students participating in the test reached (456) male and female students, and various methods were used to verify the Cut Score, and a comparison was made between the results of these methods, and the most important results reached by the research were that The weighted figure method is better than the unweighted figure method, and the cumulative composite method ranked first while the ROC curve method ranked last and the item mastery method came in the middle rank. One of the most important recommendations of the research was that it is not preferable to rely on the two ROC curve and mastery methods. They are isolated when setting Cut Score due to their low rank compared to other methods. It is not preferable to rely on the yes/no method in particular or methods derived from it in general when setting extreme Cut Score due to the problem of statistical deviation
